Colour Themed Candy Buffet Ideas
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, baby or engagement - Candy Buffets are fun, festive and tasty. You can select a gorgeous colour palette and highlight it with big bottles of candy jars – it promises to be an eye catching display that your guests will love. Here are some party ideas to help you draw some inspiration:
Table decoration
Every party should revolve around a particular colour scheme or theme, so first things first is to choose a colour palette. Check out the extensive colour range we have available at our online store Party Savers. For a little creative inspiration Google candy buffet pictures or check out Amy Atlas Events, she has a ton of ideas in her portfolio. Choose colours for the table that match the overall theme, it can be a particular colour scheme or a theme with certain colours integrated into it. To begin the table decorations start with a table cloth, either a plain white table cloth or alternatively a patterned one can be very effective. You may also want to consider using a crisp white table cloth with a chevron table runner.
Then add some character and style to the table by elevating various parts of the table where you can sit the lolly jars and bowls. You can do this by using books or boxes; just make sure that you put the books/boxes under the table cloth. When building the height put the highest jars at the back and the shortest in the front. Then to help make it more visually appealing you can add flower arrangements and pin wheel fans on the table.
When selecting the lolly jars get a variety of shapes and styles, some popular choices are the sophisticated Apothecary Jar, the tall candy jars and the charming milk bottles. Decorate your apothecary jars, vase, bowls and utensils with ribbon and labels in colours that match your theme. There are a TON of FREE Candy Buffet Label Templates out there on Pinterest and Google!!
Then to complete the table decorations hang some gorgeous Martha Stewart Pom Pom Balls from the ceiling or light fixture for a more festive atmosphere.
Candy Selection
When putting together a Candy Buffet you want to make sure that the candy is colourful, matches your theme and offers a wide selection that the guest will want to eat - to see what colours are available click here. A great cost saving tip is to buy the candy in bulk, you can purchase bulk candy at our online store. To keep things sanitary, you’ll want to provide candy scoops or other serving implements, it’s a lovely touch to decorate the handles with ribbon to match the table decorations. Also remember to choose your candy wisely, think about the location and weather at your candy buffet. Will the day be hot? If you are having an outdoor candy buffet in summer then consider buying individually-wrapped candies that won’t stick together and hard candies that won’t melt, rather than soft gummies or chocolates. Most importantly make sure you label each jar so that the guests know what each candy is.
Party Favors
Don’t forget the favor bags/boxes for your guests to put their candy in . Once again choose something that goes with the colour theme - paper loot bags or the Martha Stewart treat boxes are a lovely touch.
