Sofia The First Party Ideas – Party Savers

Sofia The First Party Ideas

When you’re little girl loves all things princess and requests a princess theme birthday it’s time to get creative! Our party ideas for a Sofia The First themed party will help you accept the challenge with confidence so that you can dream up a beautiful party for your little princess. With a lot of sparkle, adorable tiaras and purple ribbons galore, this celebration will be a royal hit!

Invitations: Get the party started by sending out these Sophia The First party invitations.  Make all the girls feel special by including in each invitation a VIP Sophia The First party entry wristband. If you take on our ideas for a Royal Tea Party (see below) then make sure you also inform the invitees that they must all come dressed in royal attire.

Decorations: Keep the same colour scheme as the princess, use purple, lavender and white as your key colours, and for something a little more vibrant you could add a little touch of pink.  Balloons, streamers along with paper lanterns and pom poms are a timeless way to decorate – and they never fail to impress.

If you choose to do the Royal Tea Party then you want the main focus of the party to be the Royal Seating Table set up in a mini ballroom setting (like your living room). Create a royal effect by draping  lavender and pink tulle across the ceiling. If your budget permits rent a big table and chairs, along with the chairs, chair covers, chair ribbons and linen napkins. Decorate the royal table with candelabras, tea sets, and a royal Teapot. Flower centerpieces add a sweet princess touch.

Activites: What girl doesn’t enjoy being pampered and getting her nails and make-up done? Set up a little day spa and offer the girls a pampering experience from nail painting, facial massage to curling hair. Also set up a few activity stations that will entertain the girls while they wait for their turn in the spa. Some great ideas for activity stations would be to colour Sofia the First pages, made a magic wand, make beaded necklaces, learn the art of pouring tea and have a bubble blowing station. End the party activities with a fun-filled game of Sophia The First Pinata.

Royal Tea Party: For the food why not create a high tea or ‘royal tea party’. Serve the princesses/ and princes their food on high tea platters with pots of herbal tea (luke warm of course). If it is summer you could make some beautiful herbal and fruit ice tea infusions. Make petite cucumber and watercress sandwiches to place on the first tier. For the second tier get creative and make a colourful array of some petite fours. On the third tier you could place a variety of choices from colourful macarons, petite sized blueberry cheesecakes or white lindt balls.

Birthday Cake: Cupcakes or otherwise known as ‘petit gâteau’ by little princesses, not only look beautiful but are quite simple to make. Simply bake some cupcakes and use our Sophia The First cupcake decorations to dress them up. To really impress all the little princesses try making the cupcakes out of this decadent yet simple batter for a white almond wedding cake.

Favors: As a ‘thank you’ gift for coming along to the party, give each little girl a favor bag filled with  princess accessories such as tiaras, bangles, necklaces and so forth. You could even throw in a few bags of herbal tea. We have Sophia The First Party favors available here

Also if you find that you enjoy making the petite fours, why not send a gorgeously boxed set of 4 or 6 petite fours home with each girl.

A Sophia The First party is a wonderful way to celebrate your little girls birthday.  The sparkle in her eyes when she blows out her candles will be forever precious. For more ideas and supplies check out our Sophia The First party supplies and decorations here.
