Supporting a good cause
Movember - It’s Really Big in Aus!
Well, it’s that time of the year again. A time when men shave their moustaches, only to grow a bigger, better one at the end of the month. It might sound silly, but, it’s done for a special reason.
Movember signifies a global movement aimed at creating awareness about prostate cancer – a form of cancer that affects men. Every Movember, we see men being challenged to grow the grandest moustache possible in the limited time that they have. It’s a pretty popular concept across the globe and especially in Australia.
Of course, there are rules to the game and here, it’s “no shaving”.
Movember is also a great time to host parties. After all, you’re celebrating something good.
So, if you’re planning to host a Movember party, here are a few tips.
Organize a Shave the Date Party
Movember has everything to do with shaving. So, you obviously start the month with a shaving party. It’s a great way to create awareness, while also starting off the whole Movember concept. You can even have a shaving game of sorts, where he who shaves the neatest or the fastest gets a reward or a prize. You can make it more fun by punishing the loser with an embarrassing task.
Of course, make sure you practice safety.
The Best Moustache
End the Movember month with a best moustache party/contest. Call all your friends & loved ones and get the men to show off their moustaches. You can even conduct a contest where the best moustache gets a reward.
Also, make use of the time to do your part for prostate cancer awareness and remember to donate generously to cancer research if you're in a position to do so.
